Hey there, lovely folks! Ever wondered about the hands behind your favorite soap and body treats? Well, hi there! My name is Jameela!

In case we haven't had the chance to cross paths at a market, fair, or any of those fun events, let me give you a quick rundown.  I'm originally from the vibrant lands of Ghana, land of shea and cocoa butters, but these days, you'll find me soaking up life in the US. Now, let's rewind a bit. My background dances between banking, training facilitation, and community development – a mix that makes life wonderfully unpredictable.

About eight years back, my soap making journey kicked off on a whim. You see, I stumbled upon an article about homemade soap during a school holiday TV session, and curiosity got the best of me. Fast forward through weeks of researching and tinkering, and voila, my first batch of soap was born – an oatmeal creation. I shared a bar with my aunt, a nurse whose hands had seen their share of dryness from constant washing. And then the magic happened – a couple of weeks later, her colleagues were asking about the "magic" in my soap that id not strip their hands. It had given them relief from overly cleansed hands that caused itching, something they hadn't experienced in years.

That was the spark that set my journey ablaze. I dived into researching natural ingredients, crafting methods, and all things handmade bath and body. This journey paved the way for Sheaxeen Soapery, a dreamy collection of handcrafted soaps featuring simple, natural goodness like butters, oils, herbs, botanicals, clays and safe, ethically sourced ingredients. As the demand grew, so did our family of products – lotions, body butters and oils, lip balms and glosses, bath bombs, and the list goes on.

At Sheaxeen, our mission is crystal clear – to offer you bath and body delights that are both gentle and effective, all wrapped up in visual wonders and beautiful bath experiences. When I'm not concocting "magic" in my soap cauldron, you'll catch me reading, jamming to tunes, and sketching soap designs that pop into my mind. Speaking of thoughts, I'm a big fan of jotting down the random musings that strike me. Oh, and let's not forget – I'm head over heels for fall. There's something about the way it gracefully embraces both endings and beginnings in a single gust of wind.
